As a member institution of the Texas Medical Center since 1983, the mission of the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences is to provide medical examiner and crime laboratory services of the highest quality in an unbiased manner with uncompromised integrity. In March of this year, operations began in their new state-of-the-art facility. The Institute serves as a national model and ensures that Harris County is second to none in the realm of forensic sciences. Dr. Wolf, Deputy Chief Medical Examiner, will give an overview of the Institute and how it serves the needs of the Harris County community and the justice system.
