The Alamo City Cancer Council (ACCC), San Antonio-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was conceived by Dr. Sharon Wilks, an Oncologist and Hematologist with Texas Oncology. It serves as a resource for newly diagnosed cancer patients.
The ACCC hosts an Annual Breast Cancer Update conference for healthcare professionals and the public alike by providing reliable, educational information on the latest updates in breast cancer topics.
The organization also produces and distributes cancer information booklets that answer the questions that many newly diagnosed patients have with standardized, reliable and physician-provided information.
In addition to the annual conference and the series of cancer information booklets, the ACCC provides free, monthly educational seminars about cancer and associated health topics to the public in Bexar County, Texas, and the surrounding areas.
Please mark your calendars to take advantage of these opportunities to become better educated about cancer.
